Betts Road Service Center Construction News

The new Betts Road Service Center is located on 32 acres south of the Betts Road Exit on I-90 west of Mitchell. The new facility will eliminate the challenges the cooperative faces with the current building in Mitchell and provide an opportunity to combine facilities with our wholesale power supplier East River Electric Power Cooperative.

The new building will consist of approximately 60,000 square feet of space. Approximately 42,500 square feet will be used for vehicle parking, shop and material storage areas and 17,500 square feet will be used for office space, a showroom and meeting rooms. The entire building will be heated by a hybrid geothermal heat pump and electric boiler. The office space will be heated and cooled with the same geothermal heating system.

The construction of the building is expected to be completed in the summer of 2012.
